| What type of submissions you are looking for: |
We do not have genre restrictions but we prefer works that seek to combine the art of “literary” writing with the craft of “popular writing”. Works with a powerful sense of character, an edgy sense of humor, or a unique pers! pective will be most likely to grab our attention. Tired themes like detective stories, damsel in distress plots, and creature fiction are less likely to impress. But we firmly believe that a unique style and creative execution can breathe new life into any theme and we therefore never discourage submissions based on genre. |
