Our story starts in 2011 with Jason Mars and a “novel” idea that art was about pushing the envelope rather than being enveloped in tradition. The publishing process, much like the music industry, outputs only what it considers prudent and safe. Consequently, the innovation and disruption needed for cultural growth is crumpled as unreasonable. We at ReRenaissance disagree with such practice, and believe that artists have a responsibility to tackle societal issues in whatever form they see fit. Moreover, they must not remain stagnant in doing so. It is in this capacity and realization that we birthed ourselves. |
