| Information about your publication: | We at the Cynic Online Magazine accept submissions in almost any genre with the major criteria that the work is original, well written, enjoyable and tolerant. We strive to be a good first publication for talented artists, authors and poets. |
| What type of submissions you are looking for: | We accept almost all genres and commonly accept work outside the scope of what other “regular” magazines will accept including science fiction, horror and fantasy. We also accept more “mainstrea! m” short fiction, life pieces, photography and artwork as well as poetry and parody news humor (see farce.cynicmag.com to get an idea of what we look for there). If you write something that’s wierd, experimental or something edgy, send it in so long as it meets our submissions criteria, but keep in mind that there is a such things as too wierd, too experimental and too edgy, even for us. Please read the submission guidelines for more info. |
| Information on Contests: | We run a holiday writing contest starting in August The Not So Cynical Christmas Contest. The goal is to write a moving and uplifting story centered around a holiday theme. Items are judged on writing ability, story telling, originality, holiday theme and awwwww factor. Open to all faiths and idealologies. — check our site between August and November for details. |
