The Other Herald is a creative/literary arts news published monthly: “Heralding the art of words in WNY and beyond…” Contributors, readers and subscribers are from all over the US, as we all as other countries. We’re little, but we have a big heart. Most issues end up with a loose theme, however, no need to limit submissions to a specific theme; we accept general submissions year round. Our intention is to connect/ support/ grow/ showcase writers, especially those who may not already feel included in the writing community as a whole, such as those who are subject to the isolation of small-town living, intense self-judgment, confined to nursing homes, young adults often ignored by publishers. However, we “herald” all kinds of good writing… Included in each little information-packed issue is a fun combination of poetry, fiction, writing exercises, articles, book reviews, and prose. Black & white (greyscale) artwork of an interesting nature is often included! Issues are nice to look at; some readers collect them all in a binder! |
