High Paying 2010 Writing and Poetry Contests

Here is a list of “major” contests both in fiction and poetry, and many of them have quickly approaching deadlines. All of these contests are well known and a “big deal” to win. All of these contests have good or even great prizes, and they are worth entering. You can win between $1000-$5000 for each of these prizes. So they do offer very good monetary awards.
