The Four Quarters Magazine

Posted on November 26, 2011June 26, 2014 by Every Writer
The Four Quarters Magazine is a non profit publishing venture from India dedicated to the fostering of creative writing in English. Beginning December 2011, the Magazine shall be published every three months in a digital format for the time being. We are of course trying to explore the possibility of a more tangible medium of publication, but are generally averse to the idea of entire forests being destroyed for the purpose of providing paper for a more "intimate reading experience." Enthusiasts from different professional backgrounds across several cities in India as well as from outside the country are part of this venture and the editorial board of the magazine.

The Stinging Fly

Posted on November 21, 2011 by Every Writer
The Stinging Fly was established in 1997 to seek out, publish and promote the very best new Irish and international writing. We have a particular interest in encouraging new writers, and in promoting the short story form. The main objective in setting up the magazine was to work towards bringing out a well-designed publication that would provide a forum for the very best new Irish and international writing. That objective has not changed. We believe that there is a need for a magazine that, first and foremost, gives new and emerging writers an opportunity to get their work out into the world. We are particularly concerned to provide an outlet for short story writers:

Kudzu Review

Posted on November 11, 2011August 6, 2018 by Every Writer
Here at the Kudzu Review we look for savvy, sharp, well polished literature that captures life in a post-natural world. We publish work, bi-annually, that is outstanding, and motivated by concerns with man?s place in the world. This isn?t your grandmother?s moldy copy of Shelly poems; show us the ?new-nature? with your place, post-colonial, post-gender, and activist writing. Give us new takes on what is ?natural.? Turn your ecocritical eye on any aspect of modern life, see what comes out. Avoid overt, or preachy messages. Enter contests for poetry, fiction, essays, and recipes. Cast new light on rapid species extinction, climate change, food production, technology, sustainability and community. Make us laugh; make us cry. Show us what it means to exist in an ecosystem, a biosphere. Most of all, inspire us

scissors and spackle, a journal of the written world (not publishing)

Posted on November 5, 2011April 29, 2019 by Every Writer
Words in their purist form both cut and repair, sometimes simultaneously. They have been used to create impact and empires, to bring peace in times of war and set battles in motion. Words have not been given the credit they are owed. Scissors and spackle wants to slip back into the power of words and is searching for artists who string them together in ways that make us remember. We are not concerned with what box or title an artist's work fits into, or how many words it takes them to get there. We are only interested in the destination. We are interested in fiction with out boundaries.
