Unlike many database sites, EWR’s Literary Magazine Listings isn’t  your typical post-it and forget-it site. At many sites you post your site, get a link from it, and few readers ever even read your listing. If the site has 1000s of listings and usually 100s of visitors you are lucky to get any referrals.

We are different. We want to promote your listing. Here’s how we do it:

1. When you list your site with us it will be posted in our listings and sent out over our RSS feeds and email subscriptions. Over 10,000 people will be informed of your listing. We hope this gives you a big boost right away so you can get those subscriptions rolling in, or submissions to your contests or to your shiny new literary publication.

2. Your listing will be posted on this listings page and on EWR’s front page. It will stay on the front page for approximately 4 days. Our site gets around 200,000 visitors a month. Our front page is a hoppin’ place. We hope it brings you even more traffic!

3. From time to time we pick magazines with high ratings on our pages to be sent through our twitter and other social networks. This is a second round to gain you followers.

4. You can vote for your site here in our listings. Get in the top 10 and we will further promote your site by tweeting your publication more often!

5.  Your listing automatically becomes a PR page for your site. Because our site has good search engine placement your site’s listing should begin to show up in Google and other search engines quickly.

6. Lastly, use our Share It button to send your site to Digg, Yahoo, Twitter, Myspace, and many other sites.
