\"\"We are a nonprofit literary and arts magazine dedicated to the frontier of experimentation. Here at EX\/POST, we aren’t interested in reactive action so much as perceptive thought\u2014we want art, poetry, fiction, essays on the craft, one-act plays, and more.<\/p>\n

We seek to spotlight both the best art and writing the Internet can find and serve as a refuge for underrepresented voices, topics, and genres. We want both great art and reflections on such; we want to publish work at the forefront of today\u2019s trends, but we also want to break down the meaning of those trends to make the cutting edge of \u201chigh theory\u201d accessible to all.<\/p>\n

More than anything, we want the raw, unblinking work that will haunt us unapologetically. We want to be a home for timely, experimental, and most of all daring writing. Whether it\u2019s avant-garde theater, traditional poetry, a satire of the Oscars, or an essay on any of the above, we believe you have something valuable to say.<\/p>\n

What type of submissions are you looking for?
\nWe accept poetry (including spoken word), prose, art, one-act plays, and mixed-genre works; if you believe you have a great piece of art that doesn’t fit the above guidelines, we encourage you to reach out and pitch it to us anyway.<\/p>\n

In addition, feel free to send any essays, reviews, or other article pitches for our year-round blog. Whether it\u2019s avant-garde theater, traditional poetry, a satire of the Oscars, or an essay on any of the above, we believe you have something valuable to say.<\/p>\n

All submissions should be in 12-point Times New Roman, with poetry single-spaced. We are open to multiple and simultaneous submissions as long as you state such in your cover letter. Unless solicited, please submit only previously unpublished work; we do not consider work that has been featured on personal websites or social media as published. Please do not include any identifying information within the body of the work submitted.<\/p>\n

Upon acceptance, EX\/POST MAGAZINE receives first North American publishing and archival rights. All rights revert back to the author upon publication. We ask that you credit us if the work is reprinted in the future.<\/p>\n

Submissions for this issue currently close June 14, but keep an eye out on our social media for an extension of a week or two beyond that in light of current circumstances.<\/p>\n
