Drunk Monkeys is an online publication which features an eclectic mix of content, from original poetry and fiction to cultural and political essays, film and television reviews, and humor pieces.<\/p>\n

A monthly online magazine devoted to literature, film & television.
\nFeaturing short fiction, flash fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, film reviews, art, and comics.<\/p>\n

Submissions<\/span><\/p>\n

We are always looking for vibrant, smart pieces of writing that will spark discussion. We accept short fiction of under 6,000 words and poetry of any length. We will also consider any cultural essays, as long as they thoroughly address the issue at hand. We are also seeking writers willing to recap currently airing television shows.<\/p>\n

We are open for all categories including submissions for our beloved April Pop Culture issue. Please note that only one poem is allowed in the 24 hour category. If you send more than one you will be declined and not offered a refund.<\/p>\n

We have an intense backlog of accepted and in progress submissions and there is already an up to one year wait time between acceptance and publication for poetry and fiction. See their guidelines before submission: https:\/\/www.drunkmonkeys.us\/submission-guidelines<\/a><\/p>\n
