From the Editor<\/h3>\n
Purple Stallion Review is a new literary magazine committed to celebrating poetry in all of its wild and wonderful forms. We believe in the power of words to inspire and connect individuals across diverse backgrounds. Our platform is designed for poets, writers, and literature enthusiasts who share a passion for artistic expression. While our publication focuses on poetry only, we are very loose about form and the shape a poem takes. Surprise and delight us with your wild and wonderful work! Submissions to our literary magazine are open year-round. However, please note that our active reading period is from June through August. Poets who submit their work can expect a final decision within that time period. Poems submitted during the first six months of the year (January through June) will be considered for that year\u2019s publication. Poems submitted during the second six months of the year (July through December) will be considered for the following year\u2019s publication. We publish one issue per year; our 2025 issue is slated to come out in January of 2026. While we cannot offer payment to our contributors, we aim to provide each contributor with a free copy of the magazine. As a new publication, Purple Stallion Review is looking to reach a wide audience and invites submissions from around the world. We humbly ask those who submit their work to spread the work about our open submission call to any fellow poets and writing communities. Submissions<\/h3>\n
Purple Stallion Review seeks poetry submissions of all kinds. Send us your wild and wonderful! Poems should be the author\u2019s original work. That is, any work produced by or with the aid of AI should not be submitted for consideration. Poets may submit up to 5 poems at a time for consideration. Please submit only once per issue. Poems should be sent in a Word or PDF file to purplestallionreview@gmail.com. Please include your cover letter and a brief (50-150 word) third-person bio in the body of your email. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but we ask to be notified if your poems are accepted for publication elsewhere. Submissions to our literary magazine are open year-round.
