From the Editor<\/h3>\n

Good Company Lit is a family friendly literary magazine. We offer an alternative for whomever is looking for one. We offer engaging, fun, immersive short pieces you can enjoy on the go. Our slogan is \u201cFind yourself in a book\u201d and that\u2019s what we aspire to do; to offer a different perspective, to focus on the overlooked, to turn the camera to the other side where the lights don\u2019t usually shine. Our content is halal which means it’s suitable for Muslim consumption. It doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re a niche magazine. It means that you don\u2019t have to DNF a story after you\u2019ve got hooked on it, and you don\u2019t have to continue reading while fighting the inner voice that urges you to put it down. We offer an enjoyable experience for everyone. Our magazine is on a mission to offer an alternative where immersive, meaningful, and halal is the default setting.<\/p>\n

Submissions<\/h3>\n

We accept short stories of any market genre. We are looking for well written pieces. We want to lose ourselves in the words and find ourselves between the lines. We want fiction to teach us about life. To armor us to face challenges and navigate the different stages of being human. We want to escape reality to a world where everything is possible, and we want to come back with enough strength to make our own reality. We\u2019re looking for poems that stop the time for a few stanzas and zoom in on the details to capture a sunbeam and a dust particle, playing in the breeze, to remind us to stop and breathe. We\u2019re looking for your experiences in life so we can bond as humans and connect. We want to see the familiar in our differences and the differences in the common. We want your nonfiction to enrich the ongoing conversation called literature.<\/p>\n

Upcoming<\/h3>\n

Our next themed issue will be published in December of this year. The theme will be authenticity. We”ll open for submissions for this issue in September 2025.<\/p>\n
