Small Po[r]tions publishes short[er] and experimental work along with multimedia and intermedia writing and art. The journal is published three times yearly in February, June, and October.<\/p>\n

Small Po[r]tions aims to curate works from a variety of artists. The journal has published experimental poetry and prose, cross- and post-genre writing, video poetry, visual poetry, asemic writing, visual art, and documentations of gallery exhibitions and more experiential-based art forms. Small Po[r]tions is also interested in presenting the journal as an art object. Each issue is designed, printed, and bound by the editors in the Jik Ji Studio in Bothell, Washington.<\/p>\n

All Small Po[r]tions issues are published both online and in print, with some work published solely in print, some solely online, and some both in print and online. Each issue is a combination of both print and digital media, with the print component having a focus on design and book arts and the online component featuring selections from the print issue beside media work.<\/p>\n

Submissions<\/h2>\n

Small Po[r]tions is interested in experimental work that blurs or transforms genre: experimental prose (including experimental creative non-fiction), prose poetry, poetry, video poetry, visual poetry\/vispo, asemic writing, and video and sound work.
