The Tishman Review is an online quarterly literary journal devoted to publishing great poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. We pay our contributors between 10$ and 75$. A small fee, but with continued support and growth we hope to increase annually. Our mission is to honor writers and the work we are grateful to publish. We believe literature serves an existential function.<\/p>\n

What type of submissions are you looking for?<\/h2>\n

We are looking for poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. We are not looking for any particular type of work, but we are open to the possibilities an author may present us. However, we are not looking for any work with gratuitous violence\/sex or work that is misogynistic, racist or homophobic. Please see our submission guidelines on our website for the particular details.<\/p>\n

Tell us about upcoming events or contests<\/h2>\n

The Tishman Review runs three contests: poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction.<\/p>\n

The Emerging Voices Poetry Contest is open to writers, worldwide. Submissions will be welcome from April 1st, 2015 through May 31st, 2015. The contest judge will be announced in March 2015.<\/p>\n

First place will receive $500 and publication in the July 15th issue. Second place wins $100 and honorable mention wins $50. Poems must be written in English (no translations). No previously published works, or works accepted for publication elsewhere. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but we must be notified immediately by phone or email if any poems are accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The Best New Short Story Award will be open to submissions beginning June 1st, 2015. Contest Judge announced in April 2015.<\/p>\n

The Crossing Bridges Creative Non-Fiction Contest will be open to submissions beginning September 1st, 2015. Contest Judge announced in July 2015.<\/p>\n

All contests require a $15.00 submission fee.<\/p>\n
