From the Editor<\/h2>\n

Published twice a year, The Maine Review features fiction, nonfiction, and poetry by both established and emerging writers. We look for work that cuts across artificial boundaries, that challenges expectations and demands thoughtful attention. While we are not promoting a single aesthetic, we look for work that asks its readers to imagine in new ways and that rewards their efforts. We are committed to including work by Maine writers in each issue, alongside great writing from across the country and around the world.<\/p>\n

Submissions<\/h2>\n

We accept up to 3 poems and submissions of fiction and nonfiction up to 6,000 words per submission period.<\/p>\n

Upcoming<\/h2>\n

We will be hosting our first Annual Poetry Contest for our next issue, accepting submissions February 1-March 31, 2017<\/p>\n
