Fire Tetrahedron is a print and electronic journal focused on the experience of combustion, especially as it occurs between nature and culture. Like Prometheus, we are fascinated by how these intrinsically adverse elements interact, grow symbiotic, or erupt in unpredictable ways. Fire Tetrahedron strives to provide readers with poetry, photography, and artwork that challenges their assumptions and experiences with the natural and\/or the human-made, and hopefully leads to deeper questions about who we are and how we relate with the world.<\/p>\n
Fire Tetrahedron seeks submissions of poetry, photography, and artwork from artists of every gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation.<\/p>\n
We accept submissions year-round, and we try to respond within one to two months. Only previously unpublished work will be considered. Please do not send multiple submissions; you may submit again after receiving a decision from us about your work, no more than once every six months. We do accept simultaneous submissions, provided you inform us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n
Poetry Submissions:<\/p>\n
Please email firetetrahedronjournal@gmail.com and attach your submission of 3-5 poems, no more than 10 pages, in ONE Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF file. Please do not paste your poems in the body of the email. The subject line of your email should be \u201cPoetry Submission- [Last Name]\u201d. We are excited to read poems of all lengths, provided they do not exceed 10 pages.<\/p>\n
Translations are encouraged, too. Please include the original, source poem in the attachment. Contributors are responsible for securing signed permission from the proper rights-holder for the translation and reprinting of the original text before submitting to Fire Tetrahedron.<\/p>\n
Art Submissions:<\/p>\n
Please email firetetrahedronjournal@gmail.com and attach your submission of 3-4 photographs or works of art as low-resolution TIFF or PNG. If your work is accepted, we will ask for a higher resolution image. The subject line of your email should be \u201cArt Submission- [Last Name]\u201d.<\/p>\n
