Below the Fold Magazine is a humor site written by women publishing short, satirical fiction. Written by women for women? Maybe. But we hope certain men and some children will also benefit substantially from reading our pieces.<\/p>\n

To submit:<\/p>\n
There are two ways to send submissions for publication consideration at Below the Fold magazine.<\/p>\n
The first is to send us a full, completed, final draft of your piece. If chosen, your story will be subject to edits and changes at our editorial team’s discretion. Each writer is limited to pitching one piece per week.<\/p>\n
The second way to submit is to send 5 pitch ideas to: belowthefoldmag@gmail.com. Subject heading should read: \u201cPitches from [your full name].\u201d Do NOT send these as an attachment. We will delete any emails with attachments. Write the potential headline of the article as well as two to three sentences describing the story and its point of view. Give one example of a joke you would include and a sentence conveying the tone of the piece.<\/p>\n
Pitches are due EVERY Sunday by midnight CST. You must submit no less than five pitches per email and send no more than one email per week.<\/p>\n
Below the Fold Magazine is seeking satirical fiction submissions about 150-600 words in length. Although we will make exceptions in either direction depending upon the purpose and course of the piece. We especially value weird and off-the-beaten-path humor. Our motto is “Weird, Funny, and Entirely Unladylike”. We hope you’ll send us your best satire, and cannot wait to read your work!<\/p>\n
