we flapped our arms like dark birds lighted on the Pallas \/
\nI was cousined<\/p>\n

to the likeness of \/ my Mother and Lenore \/ my poor soul \/ the guilty
\nnarrator \/ self-
\nsabotaging<\/p>\n

in rehearsed
\nbereavement \/ in bitter quarrels with \/ the ill
\nangels \/ feasting on the drop of blood I carried
\nto the table<\/p>\n

when the wind blew out of a cloud \/ when the wind
\nhaunted trees
\nI wandered in her cemeteries \/ sick or drunk \/ or both \/<\/p>\n

consumed with death \/ electing
\noblivion, in another man\u2019s soiled clothes<\/p>\n
