The End of Summer<\/h1>\n

Soon Autumn
\nwill be here
\nwith it’s dusty
\nand driving breeze
\nacross fields
\nfrom the back of your house
\nwhere poppies would
\npreviously dance with you
\nnow spit in your face.<\/p>\n

Autumn will hold your hand
\nwhen you run
\nto the train station
\nevery morning
\njagged with purpose
\nlike it was
\nfamous for 15 seconds.<\/p>\n

Soon Autumn will be here
\nand on the road again
\nwith leaves dangling
\nin the middle
\nof your garden
\nlike a radiogram
\nof a old film.<\/p>\n

Summer will be
\ndangling from a distance
\njust slightly out of reach
\nalmost like a party
\nyou had not been invited to
\nbefore the cold weather comes,<\/p>\n

leaving,<\/p>\n

leaving,<\/p>\n

you wondering had it gone
\nbefore it had really started
\nreturning to the small ads.<\/p>\n

Andy N is a 39 year old writer, writer, performer and sometimes experimental musician from the Manchester area of England.<\/p>\n

He has published one book of poetry through N Press ‘Return to Kemptown’ in 2010 and his second book, a split book with Jeff Dawson (aka Jeffarama) ‘A Means to an End’ has also just been printed. He has been published in numerous books and magazines and has been performing since 2006 and regularly since 2008. More details of his experience can be seen here –
