Fitzgerald\u2019s nickname for writer\u2019s block on my mind,
\nI toss toward our bedroom window at 4am, half asleep,<\/p>\n

just enough snow fallen on the caf\u00e9 awning
\nto create a glow around white holiday lights.<\/p>\n

I wonder how long the quiet will last.<\/p>\n

Probably longer than me, back to dreaming already:
\nFitzgerald, still at the bar, squeezing the place dry<\/p>\n

for nothing\u2026nothing\u2026nothing\u2026
\nall he\u2019s good for tonight, melting some virgin snow.<\/p>\n

\nSinger\/Songwriter Maria Sebastian has opened for dozens of national acts and has recorded with many of their members. She has earned 15 Western NY Music Awards, as well as a NISOD Master Teacher Award in 2011 through Genesee Community College, and an Adjunct of the Year award at Niagara County Community College (2013).
