The Dog Whistle<\/h1>\n

There is no sound
\nbeyond that smoke wafting through
\nthe crutches of an old man,<\/p>\n

for tears that are smoke
\nrun easy, a stones throw from the artificial aortas
\nof a far off few, of melancholic ghosts<\/p>\n

that shun the light for want of a far off place
\nunder the stone grotto, conspiring under
\nthe dominion of a witches tongue,<\/p>\n

breathing dragon clinker cigarette plumes,
\nblue ether smoke that glides in under the door,
\nbreaks in the cupboards singing sea shanties<\/p>\n

contaminating the cheese and the coffee jar alike.
\nThere is no sound beyond the present, beyond the charging
\npulse, there is no sound beyond the dog whistle heart.
\n###<\/p>\n
