This is a box in a shoe.
\nFoot jutting from heel,
\nbones streamlining skin.<\/p>\n

Something that shouldn\u2019t be and is not.<\/p>\n

Your mine,
\nand my yours.<\/p>\n

A commodity for sale,
\nforward and reverse,
\ninverted and extrapolated
\nuntil it is one continuous product
\nunder God.
\nHere is a glove in a hand,
\niron pushing against tendons.
\nAnother model, made in velvet,
\nwill bulge beneath the veins
\nwith less intrusive authority.<\/p>\n

You say I need them
\nto suppress dissent,
\nsmooth as a neuroenhancer
\ntaking hold on a morning commute.
\nThis is the rough in a diamond,
\npretty as sludge over ice.<\/p>\n

Here, soon, will be my atmosphere
\nswallowed up by your planet.<\/p>\n

There is no word for \u2018our\u2019 in this new language.
\nMy protests don\u2019t leave my mouth,
\nbecause I\u2019ve left no room for you to lay claim in it.<\/p>\n

It will come down to one thing, this I know,
\nimpossible to own or separate:<\/p>\n
