\nForgot to pack my journal in my bag,
\nMy book of incantations across town,
\nI\u2019m forced to interact, to be present.
\nIt means I have no escape, no recuse,
\nDemeanor resembling some sense of truth,
\nOffering a handshake, a nod, a smile,
\nSupposedly teaching future leaders.
\nThe students ask me why I am so sad,
\nI shake it off, explain it\u2019s not that bad,
\nMercutio was right about Queen Mab
\nDisseminating dreams from chariots.
\nForcing conversations and gleaning hope,
\nMy book of secrets still remains at home,<\/p>\n
