So far as I conceive the world’s rebuke
\nTo him address’d who would recast her new,
\nNot from herself her fame of strength she took,
\nBut from their weakness who would work her rue.<\/p>\n

“Behold,” she cries, “so many rages lull’d,
\nSo many fiery spirits quite cool’d down;
\nLook how so many valours, long undull’d,
\nAfter short commerce with me, fear my frown!<\/p>\n

“Thou too, when thou against my crimes wouldst cry,
\nLet thy foreboded homage check thy tongue!”?
