Description
A Zero Hero’s Guide to Self-Acceptance and Personal Empowerment In this inspirational cross between self-help and memoir, Chad Michael Hardy chronicles his journey from a strict Mormon upbringing to self-acceptance and true authenticity. Facing discrimination and a crisis of faith due to living inauthentically, Hardy embraced the transformative law of Zero to get unstuck, find balance, and unlock infinite potential. Now, he reveals how you can do the same through five entry points: Seek Awareness, Secure Alignment, Take Ownership, Release to Receive, and Engage Power. Among the many powerful lessons he presents are > self-awareness is crucial for breaking free from victimhood and finding new perspectives on life, > releasing negative beliefs, stories, and judgments that limit your true self is essential for personal growth, and > taking ownership of your trauma and forgiving those who have caused harm cultivates self-love, empathy, renewal, and freedom from pain. Hardy shares his unfiltered story and the life-changing effects of the law of Zero to guide anyone struggling with identity and societal expectations to embrace their authentic self, unleash their sacred power, and find lasting healing and happiness.
Book excerpt
INTRODUCTION Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. —Matthew 5:8, New American Standard Bible The Sanskrit word anahata means unstruck, unhurt, and unbeaten. Further, anahata “symbolizes overall balance between all modes of consciousness and the ultimate potential for individual and global transformation.” This concept ties to the understanding that common ground can be found among most religions. The term “universalism” embraces the idea that all faiths seemingly point to the same truth despite their differences. My traditional Mormon upbringing disputed this because Mormons find universalism heretical. This, I dispute. I dispute this because I have learned that there is a place and state where this concept of anahata can be fully experienced. It can be experienced by anyone. It is a place where one can find perfect balance and peace despite all hurt, pain, grievance, suffering, fears, and faults. This is where you can find yourself not just unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten but whole, complete, and valued—just as you are. And beyond that, it is a place of sacred power and infinite possibilities—the place and the Source of all creation. This is Zero. Every person can reach this pure, balanced, divine creative place. Every person has the right of entry to its power. It is accessed through each person’s unique state of being and is known in our world by many names. It can be discovered through various rituals, is embraced in numerous cultures, and is claimed in some form by virtually every religion. Zero is a neutral state and balanced power of Source governed by the universal law of Zero, and it holds all who seek it accountable. Zero is completely available and utterly universal; no one is restricted from accessing Zero. But I will issue a word of caution. You must Zero responsibly. Once you understand how to access its power, you will be accountable for every- thing in your life—the good, the bad, all of it. Zero does not discriminate. Zero simply is. And without the fear of sounding cheesy, the best way for me to describe Zero in one word is magic. Yes, magic. Not the Disney kind, but the real, tangible, life-changing variety. When you find Zero and align with it, your energy is perfectly balanced, and creation freely flows toward its desired destination. This is when the magic happens. You might ask, “How does this relate to me? How does this relate to my life?” That, my friend, is what this book is all about. It is about you and your life as seen through the lens of my life experiences. I found Zero through a Cracker Jack box of pain, joy, rejection, humor, trauma, and forgiveness. This book describes how I found and reclaimed my sacred power through Zero. More than this, it is about how you can too.
