It is a novel – a story – that involves settings in Africa, Europe, USA, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China and Australia.

Manny Liu lives with his wife Li-Na and young daughter Li-Li above a Milk Bar in Melbourne Australia. Sadly, Li-Na’s mother, Bao-Yu, dies. Ming, her father, demands that Li-Na return for the funeral in Beijing. The date is March 6th, 2014. At such short notice, Li-Na with Li-Li in tow must make the trip to Beijing via Kuala Lumpur.

In Angola, Babs Angula, a retired warlord from the Angolan civil war, hatches a nefarious plan with Otto von Eschen, a diamond merchant, to steal a Boeing 777. Babs has amassed considerable wealth in blood diamonds and his greed shows no bounds. Otto will stop at nothing to achieve Babs’ plan using blackmail, bribes and even murder!

Book excerpt

Flavio grabbed his list. “Give that to me or we shall be here ‘til tomorrow!” He read the list and stopped. “I thought you could read a little bit. Put your headset on.” Flavio finished the list skipping two items: identification lights ON and transponder ON.

The hamster cage started to rotate slowly then increased in speed. “Fuel ignition switch ON.” Flavio flipped a switch initiating a roar of ignited fuel. The engine rapidly increased in pitch and volume. The blue smoke of unburned fuel lasted only a couple of seconds. Flavio started the other two engines and pushed the three throttles forward. The pitch of the engines increased and the jet moved forward. The hum of the electronics and cockpit machinery mixed with the pungent odour of distillate brought Brian back to times in a helicopter on the way to a mission.

The radio crackled and Air Traffic Control came through loud and clear. “N844AA you are not cleared for take off. N844AA–” Flavio interjected.

“ATC we are just testing the engines.” He changed the frequency before ground control could reply.

“Okay Brian. Let’s go test these engines!”

Flavio’s face had a grin of a child starting a roller coaster ride as he pushed the three throttle levers forward to their maximum. The engines spooled up pushing them back in their seats as the thrust increased. He liked this aeroplane.
Flavio pulled back on the yoke detaching the jet from the ground. “Boy this thing is powerful!” The ground fell away. “But what a gas guzzler.” The black contrails confirmed his comment.

Flavio moved the undercarriage lever to the up position. Seabird’s appendages clunked home and the doors clamped shut and the noise level dropped. “Once we level out you’ll see nothing but sea.” Flavio reassured Brian as he retracted the flaps. He backed off the throttles and levelled out a little. They reached a cruising altitude of 30,000 feet.

Flavio looked at his watch. “I estimate arrival and touch down in the DRC at about 19:55. I just hope the runway is not too soft.” Flavio adjusted the radio frequency.

“This is Seabird calling Charlie. Come in Charlie. Over”

A heavily accented voice replied. “Seabird this is Charlie. Over.”

“Charlie I read you 5 by 5. Request permission to land at base, over.”

“Permission granted. What’s your ETA, over?”

Flavio looked at his watch. “ETA is in 75 minutes. I repeat ETA in one hour 15 minutes. Over.”

“Message received. Land from the east. Wind 10 knots west. Over.”

“Charlie this is Seabird. WILCO. Over and out.”

As the sun said goodnight, the dark blue ocean metamorphosed into dark mounds of jungle. The undulating green decayed to sinister black as the sun reflected off the remaining treetops still illuminated: pebbles on a black beach. An hour passed quietly until Flavio broke the silence taking the aeroplane off autopilot and pulling back on the throttles.

Author Website

http://www.stolen-mh370.com

Best place to buy your book

http://www.stolen-mh370.com

This book is a fictitious account of the disappearance of MH370 on route to Beijing based on the information available to the general public

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3,10

post-3271","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-book-listing","category-fiction

https://i0.wp.com/www.everywritersresource.com/selfpublished/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/malaysiasmall.jpg?fit=1364%2C739&ssl=1
["GET
