Meet Your Maker<\/h1>\n

Powerful, often silent but attractive spirit seeks companion who is adventurous and outgoing for a committed relationship. Must be a good listener.<\/p>\n

Sunday morning and Shiloh walks through the door of the Beanpunk Caf\u00e9 reading aloud from the Personal Times. Joining her friends, she plops down on a worn leather couch and spreads the paper on a table \u2013a wooden shipping container with train wheels for legs.<\/p>\n

\u201cTall, dark and handsome, I want some.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMay I point out that you are not adventurous or outgoing?\u201d Jaye shoves a cappuccino in front of Shiloh. The other girls are drinking coffees with names like Bard\u2019s Brew, Cupola Joe and Rococo Mocha.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t listen all that well, either, but I\u2019d like to be all those things.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you remember when you applied to be a pastry chef\u2019s assistant and said you knew how to decorate cakes? Kaye lips her refreshment\u2014layers of espresso and Guinness. \u201cHow did that work out for you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI lasted about two hours,\u201d Shiloh slumps into a depression in the sofa\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elle sets down her pewter mug of m.u.d.\u2014a blend of Mbeya, Urubamba and Djimah beans. \u201cWell I say, go for it. We\u2019re not suggesting you misrepresent yourself, just show up and see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, maybe all he means by \u2018outgoing\u2019 is someone who is willing to go out with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shiloh has been texting while talking. She has responded to the ad and received a message directing her to follow a set of GPS coordinates to a public place where we can meet. She drains her cappuccino and cedes her position in the conversation to her Scrabble board of friends.<\/p>\n

A few blocks away, Shiloh finds herself in front of the Shiloh Community Church. This guy must have a terrific sense of humor.<\/p>\n

A young man greets her and they exchange names. \u201cWelcome Shiloh. Did you know that your name is a place of worship?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, I\u2019ve never been in a church. I\u2019m meeting someone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs your friend here yet?\u201d he scans the small assembly inside the sanctuary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know. I\u2019ve never met him,\u201d Shiloh says. \u201cI think I\u2019ll just go in and take a seat and let him find me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Music puts her at ease. She prays, \u201cLord, make me a better person.\u201d She feels His Presence, hears Him say \u201cShiloh, I am your Maker. You are the person I made you to be. Walk with me and your life will be the adventure you seek.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Lord, You advertised for someone who is outgoing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Shiloh, you showed up.\u201d<\/p>\n
