The Twitter Novel Project
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:16:48 PM »
I maintain a blog over at http://twitternovel.blogspot.com that's all about an attempt to write an entire first draft of a novel using Twitter. Every time I finish a chapter, I post it here (because it's less annoying to read that way than 140 characters at a time, backwards), and I occasionally post other stuff, too.

Drop by and say hello!

Thanks, Richard. It's currently got the first ten chapters posted, but I'll drop a reply here whenever something new goes up.

I've been reading along, and sometimes I'm online at night when you post, and other times I'm not, so honestly I'd be happy to see a heads up here, so I know to go and look.

New post up at the blog:  http://twitternovel.blogspot.com/2009/04/25162.html

I hit 25,000 words on the novel at the same time I hit 250 Twitter followers. I'm a math nerd, so this tickles me no end.

Chapter 11 now posted to the blog, with fun things like Dexedrine and amphetamine psychosis!

As Twitter was full of fail last night and ate all of the updates, I've posted them to the blog:

http://twitternovel.blogspot.com/2009/04/last-nights-update.html

If they come back (I've emailed Twitter about it), that post will eventually vanish. . .

I think it was the birds, they do more than carry that whale, I think.

The Twitter Birds have put back what they took from the night before last, but taken from last night's posting's. It's. . . infuriating.

Fortunately, though, the update tonight finished off a chapter, so everything is up to date on the blog now with the posting of Chapter 12!

Check it out at http://twitternovel.blogspot.com/2009/04/chapter-twelve.html .

Also, I've got a guest post up at Machine Gun Thompson's blog. If you don't know Machinegun, you should -- he's the drummer for the legendary MC5. Check them out if you're into music of any kind.

Bowling! Well, sort of.

OK. There's no actual bowling.
