Charles Hairston was born September 24, 1953 in Winston-Salem, N. C. He Graduated from Holding Technical Community College in 1972 in Raleigh, N. C. and went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before obtaining his degree, he left school to go to work.
On the advice of his brother, Kenneth, Charles pursued a career in the HVAC industry where he became an Installation Technician.
In July, 1989, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he met and married his wife, Joyce. Joyce Hairston is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout their years together, Joyce kept telling Charles that he should write a book.

the story of Solara and her mission to save her mother
from Carnegie. This story is a fan-told expansion of the
original 2010 movie The Book of Eli starring Denzel
Washington and Mila Kunis. Throughout this book, the
reader follows Solara as the main character and receives
closure to the original story. This book will appeal to
those who enjoy fan fiction.

“Dear Lord, I fought the good fight. I tried to do your will and follow the path laid out before me. Bless my mother, if she still lives, and watch over her. Bless my friend Eli and tell him that I’m sorry that I failed him,” Solara recited in her head. With one sudden, fluid motion, she wheeled around, bringing the bow up to sight in on her target. She saw the yellow eyes, the bared fangs, the talon-like claws and as the flash of grey fur streaked through the air, she heard the low, guttural growl of the wolf that had to be at least one hundred fifty pounds.
