What magazines did you grow up with?
« on: May 06, 2009, 12:26:31 AM »
I've been collecting a bunch of magazine covers (public domain, we do not break copyright on EWR) to publish as backgrounds and around the site. We came up with a pulp look to sort of celebrate what many writers love about writing. I'm wondering what magazines you liked to read as a kid. I came along after many of the very cool old pulp magazines were out of biz, but I did read Fangoria (no original fiction at the time). Anyone read Monsters or any other pulp magazines like that? I know that a few of you are not from the states, were there or are there any magazines like this there?

Horror magazines Creepy, and Eerie.

And the magazine which brought Frank Frazetta to my attention:
Heavy Metal.

If you check here you'll a couple covers from Eerie. They might be behind the list, but they are there.
