Summer Trio

by Devin Harrison

1.

paired sweet cherries
tossed into my mouth
bloodstain my lips
on the way down
shiju – love suicide

2.

itinerant mango
steamy happy fruit
makes me giddy
when it teases
joy slips down my throat

3.

longan ‘dragon eye’
squeezed out of its skin
translucent flesh
always beguiled
while under its spell
