Art by Lyanda Warne

The human form inspires me to paint. I look for a gesture that I can exploit in order to reveal something about the subjects personality. For me it’s more about the manipulation of the paint, the seduction of colour and texture and the excitement of composition. I love that a painting speaks to us without words.
As a member of the Portrait Society of Canada, the Markham Group of Artists and Painters6 my work has appeared in juried shows, group shows and community projects.
