We have an exciting announcement to make. This year, Every Writer magazine is shaking things up and doing something truly special for our beloved audience. Instead of our usual summer issue, we’ve decided to create a double-sized, spine-chilling horror extravaganza, set to haunt your bookshelves on October 5th, 2024!
Prepare yourselves for twice the terror, twice the suspense, and twice the word count in our biggest issue yet. We’re throwing the doors wide open and accepting submissions from all genres. Whether you write literary fiction, sci-fi, romance, or any other style, we want to see your most bone-chilling work.
However, for this special issue, we’re giving a little extra love to the horror genre. If you can send shivers down our spines, make our skin crawl, or keep us up at night, your terrifying tale might just snag a coveted spot in our pages. After all, what better way to celebrate the spooky season than with a double dose of literary frights?
Call for Submissions:
- Short Stories: We’re putting out a special call for short stories up to 10,000 words. While we’d love to see some spine-tingling horror, we’re open to any genre as long as the quality is top-notch. Flash fiction, micro-fiction, or short-short stories – whatever you call them, we want to see your best work.
- Poetry: Poets, we want to showcase your talent! We’re accepting poetry submissions, 5-8 poems per entry. From eerie elegies to haunting haikus, send us your most chilling verses.
- Book Reviews and Non-Fiction: We’re also accepting book reviews and non-fiction pieces related to writing, genre fiction, or the horror realm. Whether you want to analyze the symbolism in Stephen King’s works, share tips on crafting the perfect jump scare, or review the latest horror bestseller, we want to hear from you.
Deadline: September 25th, 2024 – Don’t miss it!
So, sharpen your quills, summon your muses, and let your darkest imaginings run wild. We want stories that will make us sleep with the lights on and question our sanity. The best of the best will be immortalized in our historic double horror issue.
