Great Gift and Option for Self Publishing

Posted on November 28, 2012March 12, 2017 by Richard

We are going to be doing a series of articles on Christmas gifts for writers. Many of the companies I will talk about we have affiliations with, but again I would never recommend anything that I don’t think is good deal or something very worth while.

Blurb is a company that recently came across our radar, and I have to say I like what I see. They offer self-publishing and on demand printing for anyone looking. Now if you just want to put together a very nice looking photo book of all your memories, I’m very sure the writer in your life would love it. You can do that with Blurb, but the services go much deeper.

For all of you looking for a self publishing option, you should seriously consider Blurb. I have spent a lot of time looking at different options for self-publishing, and I have to say this is one that is really attractive and inexpensive. They also offer a way for you to sell your books and you keep 100% of the profit on each sale.

There are 3 unique things about this service that I would recommend you take a look at when you are considering self publishing. If you are still on the fence about the decision to self publish look at our article Should I Self Publish My Book? If you know you are going to for sure self publish you should review Blurb. They even offer magazine publishing for all those out there thinking about doing a print addition of your literary magazines. This might be the simple solution you have been looking for.

The first reason I would consider Blurb is their ability to deal with pictures. Their books look fantastic. Usually if you want to publish your own children’s book it can be very difficult. Blurb presents an affordable option. Second I would look a their ability to help you create an very handsome ebook. They have tools that will help you create something that might be difficult to do on your own. Third I think more than other self publishing companies these guys are giving control to the authors and allowing you to sell you books for what you want. The ebooks do not have a base price to make. When you sell them you get 80%. That’s a pretty good deal any way you look at it.

Take a look at their services, do your research, see what YOU think. Everyone’s needs are different. Blurb has some very good options though.
