| Information about your publication: | Blue Collar Review is a saddle stitched journal of Progressive Working Class literature with an emphasis on poetry. Also published are relevant revues and very short stories. |
| What type of submissions you are looking for: | Writing is not limited in style and can cover a range of subjects but should reflect a working class perspective. We look for strong work that speaks from the experience of the writer yet is not overly introspective. Work can have sociopolitical content but that is not a requirement. Working class p! oetry covers styles from the didactic to the abstract but can be broadly classified as social realism in that it speaks from and about the nitty-gritty reality of our experience. |
| Information on Contests: | Working People’s Poetry Contest is an annual event. Winner receives $100.00, a 1 year sub to the Blue Collar Review. The wining poem is published in the journal. It is also on our website for one year as the winning poem. Deadline is May 1. |
