B O D Y is an international online literary journal. We publish the highest quality poetry and prose from emerging and established writers, both original work and translations.

Badlands

Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus publishes Badlands annually. The publication features original creative work (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry), and specializes in translation. Edited by students at CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus, Badlands also accepts original visual art submissions, including photography. The publication is made possible by funds from the university’s Instructionally Related Programs Board

BareBack

We are a small independent literary and arts magazine dedicated to publishing BareBack writing, that is writers who aren't afraid to take off their gloves when creating. We publish up to four stories per issue, eight poems per month, and one featured artist. We are always looking for new talent, and authors who fit in, or don't fit in, with what we're doing

Barge Journal

Barge Journal reads unsolicited submissions year round. Submit through our submissions manager on the website. We seek experimental fiction and poetry as well as (emphasis on the creative part) creative non-fiction -- though we prefer non-genre, non-classifiable work above all. Long story short, this isn't the place to submit your literary fiction or formal poetry.

Barrelhouse

Barrelhouse bridges the gap between serious ! art and pop culture. We publish fiction, poetry, and pop-culture related non-fiction.

Barrier Islands Review

Here at Barrier Islands, we aim to help up and coming writers share those moving images with the world. If you have something to share with us, please read our submissions guidelines to find out what we want. On the first of every month, Barrier Islands will publish a pdf containing the work of 12-15 writers. The best of those pieces will be compiled in a chapbook at the end of the year.

Bayou Magazine

Bayou Magazine is a biannual literary magazine with national circulation published by the Creative Writing Workshop at the University of New Orleans. Each issue contains short fiction, non-fiction and poetry from established, award-winning authors as well as emerging writers. In keeping with the aesthetics and goals of the Creative Writing Workshop, Bayou is especially interested in discovering and showcasing fresh literary voices. The journal awards yearly contests in both fiction and poetry. And in one issue every year, Bayou features the winning one-act play and short story from the annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival Competitions. We are a member of the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses, and annually nominate several published works for the Pushcart Prize, O. Henry Award and Best American Essays. Supported by the University of New Orleans English Department and the UNO Foundation, Bayou is a non-profit journal for the arts.
