Horror Story Contest 2015!

Welcome to our Horror Story 2015 Contest. Every year we run a horror story, and every year we announce the winners the week of Halloween. This year is different in that if you win our contest you get 1 year worth of free ads on our site (over $3000 value), $250 cash, and your story will be featured in a new digital horror anthology we will be publishing this year. These are our best prizes so far.

The ground rules:

  • Deadline for submission is October 26, 2015.
  • Stories must be 500 words or less!
  • Stories must be scary.
  • Submissions must be emailed to eds@everywritersresource.com Subject line Horror Contest 2015.

The prizes:

  • Winner will get $250 in cash and 1 year in free ads on Every Writer.
  • Top 3 stories (maybe more) will be published in our Horror Anthology (digital). We hope to make this a print publication, but we are not going to promise anything.
  • We have titled the prize The EWR Horror Prize!

Announcement:

  • On October 28 we will have a movie night here: https://www.everywritersresource.com/halloween-movie-night/
  • We will be watching Night of the Living Dead
  • We will announce the winners and chat with horror editors. If you love horror, this is the place to be!

    Can you be more specific about your submission guidelines? Double spaced? 12 point Times New Roman font? Title page? Headers/ page numbers? Standard Shunn format?
