From the Editor
Founded in the Summer of 2020 by Ranna Kisswani & A.R. Arthur (formerly A.R. Salandy), Fahmidan Journal hopes to bring out diverse voices and their cacophonous words. Our Press, founded in 2021 is focused on the publication of POC & Women Identifying voices ardent in battle against subjugation! Now in its third year, Fahmidan Journal is now a paying market! We publish quarterly. We seek writing that is not boxed in by literary world elitism. Having a creative writing degree or a plethora of accolades is not our focus. Instead, we believe in the writer and their writing over everything. We particularly enjoy writing that reflects on lived experience across the globe at large. Send us your thought-provoking existentialism, your phobias, your darkest moments. Entrance us with your whimsical fantasy. Move us to tears with your truth in a world of suffering. Captivate and intrigue us with your hopes and dreams.
Submission
We accept poetry, fiction and non-fiction prose. We accept simultaneous submissions and allow submitters to submit to both poetry and prose at the same time. We do not charge submission fees and we do not solicit writing. Our issues come out quarterly and pay a standard rate of $25 per acceptance. Having been around for almost four years, we have seen the literary world change drastically and maintain our focus on being an inclusive team that is focused on diversity of thought, action and indeed, writing. We also believe heavily in writing that speaks to folks across the globe not just in the anglophone west. We seek writing that is not boxed in by literary world elitism.
