    Information about your publication: Mason’s Road is an online literary magazine sponsored by Fairfield University?s MFA in Creative Writing and run by the graduate students of the program. We publish fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, drama, visual art, craft essays, writing exercises, and audio works, and focus each issue on an aspect of the writing craft we wish to learn more about. Our issues are published twice a year, in July and December, during our residencies at Enders Island, CT.
    What type of submissions you are looking for: As a literary journal with an educational twist, Mason?s Road aims to focus each issue on a particular element of the writing craft. For our upcoming issue, we are looking for submissions that engage us in considering the opportunities and complexities of ?arc?? the rise and fall of dramatic tension, whether subtle or steep, upward or downward, singular or recurrent, that draws the reader in (and keeps him or her there).
    Information on Contests: All submissions to Mason?s Road will be considered for publication, but only those entered for the contest will be considered for the $1,000 Writing Contest Prize. Judge: Sarah Manguso, author of ?The Two Kinds of Decay? (2008), ?Hard to Admit and Harder to Escape? (2007), ?Siste Viator? (2006) and ?The Captain Lands in Paradise? (2002).
