Information about your publication: dotdotdash is a tri-annual creative journal run by Perth volunteers. Each issue of dotdotdash packs a full-colour punch of new artworks, stories, creative non-fiction, and poetry We want to make art and literature exciting and playful. We want to shake people to their core, we want more people riding into the local arts scene, riding horses with nostrils flaring, chatting to their fellow humans, wanting nothing but to write and draw and create and have fun.
What type of submissions you are looking for: We publish all genres of poetry, short fiction and creative non-fiction, comics, illustrations, drawings, and photos. It doesn’t necessarily have to be on our issue theme, it just has to be fresh and exciting work!
Information on Contests: In the spirit of our ninth issue, Recursive, dotdotdash is calling for sestinas, pantoums and villanelles for the dotdotdash Recursive Poetry Competition. First prize is a choice of $250, OR a book package consisting of a Macquarie Dictionary, Roget’s Thesaurus and Oxford Book of Quotes. The winner, along with four honourable mentions, will also receive publication in dotdotdash Issue 9: Recursive (scheduled for release in Autumn 2012) and a free copy of the magazine.
