    From the Editor

Tethered by Letters is a nonprofit literary journal dedicated to cultivating writers of all ages, backgrounds, education, or genres.

Our mission is fulfilled through the three avenues for writing success:

    1.International Publishing Platform

The best way for a writer to build his or her reputation is to become published. Unfortunately, a paradox exists in the industry where one needs an agent to publish but also needs published work to get an agent.
TBL is here to break that paradox.
By specializing in unsolicited manuscripts, we help emerging and established authors improve their publishing platform and share excellent works with the world.

    2.Free Resources

We help writers master their craft through free resources, including:
•Individualized, professional edits on writing and publishing
    •Comprehensive global writing contest lists
    •An online contest submissions tracker
•A writing community for support, advice, and peer reviews

    3. Connections

One of the best ways to grow is to learn from those who have succeeded. We connect TBL members with successfully published authors in two ways:
•We feature a bestselling author every quarter through a book review and a Q&A with our founder, D.M. Hedlund.
•Every featured author hosts a forum conversation to directly answer any questions TBL members have about writing and publishing.
    Our mission is your success.

This is the beginning. Start your writing career here.

    Submissions

We are currently accepting submissions for three categories: short story, flash fiction, and poetry. I’ve included a listing that combines all three categories, as well as individual listings for each. Please choose whichever you believe works best for your site.
