Originally launched as a bookselling site specializing in hard-to-find poetry & Beat Generation books, Empty Mirror has, since its launch in 2000, morphed into an online arts magazine, covering modern literature, art, film, and music. We are well-established, indexed by Google, and have a large readership. While some of our contributors are well-known with long publication histories, others have published for the very first time at Empty Mirror. Experience isn’t necessary – we are simply looking for interesting arts-related work which our visitors would like to read. We’re dedicated to helping our contributors get the word out about their work. EMB is glad to publish contributors’ bios, links to their websites and books, and other sites with which they’re affiliated, and will also use social networking efforts and other methods to spread the word. |

If you’ve written a biography, bibliography, tribute, review, interview or essay, or other non-fiction material (photos, letters, art?) relating to the following topics, please consider submitting your work: – the Beat Generation – modern poetry or literature – modern art – blues, folk, jazz or rock music – films & filmmakers – counterculture / 1960s – book collecting – writing / publishing Please note that though we currently don’t publish poetry or fiction, we are very interested in non-fiction work about those topics.
