Bayou Magazine

Bayou Magazine
Bayou Magazine is a biannual literary magazine with national circulation published by the Creative Writing Workshop at the University of New Orleans. Each issue contains short fiction, non-fiction and poetry from established, award-winning authors as well as emerging writers. In keeping with the aesthetics and goals of the Creative Writing Workshop, Bayou is especially interested in discovering and showcasing fresh literary voices. The journal awards yearly contests in both fiction and poetry. And in one issue every year, Bayou features the winning one-act play and short story from the annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival Competitions. We are a member of the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses, and annually nominate several published works for the Pushcart Prize, O. Henry Award and Best American Essays. Supported by the University of New Orleans English Department and the UNO Foundation, Bayou is a non-profit journal for the arts.

Bumble Jacket Miscellany: a miscellany for poetry and fiction

Bumble Jacket Miscellany: a miscellany for poetry and fiction
Bumble Jacket Miscellany is an independent print literary magazine and has been created with the purpose of publishing the best poetry and short fiction, regardless of style, genre, or approach. While we do feature talented and sometimes well know writers, we also pride ourselves on selecting writing based on its merit, and not the author's biography. All rights remain with the contributors

Caper Literary Journal

Caper Literary Journal accepts mostly poetry and very few outstanding pieces of prose. We are interested in wr! iting that is unique, edgy and culturally aware. We appreciate play with languages, magical realism and eclectic, experimental work. However, all work is welcome so long as it does not rhyme or is used as a soap box. We also publish "author features" and other writing projects.

Exclusive

Exclusive
The creative works are clear representations of Experimental Writing, and the authors provide commentary on that aspect of them. This is also the place for anyone participating in the Experimental literary world to share information, opinion, etc. as long as it what you send it not published elsewhere. This is the journal that changes its middle name regularly. So, while it is listed officially as Exclusive, as of today it is called Exclusive Windows Magazine. It is housed within a resource website about all things Experimental Writing, including a long list of links of magazines, articles, presses, etc. The magazine nominates for Pushcart Prize, and others. When your work is accepted, it will go up online shortly. Work will continue to appear in the magazine until the issue's completion by date. This is published and edited solely by Tantra Bensko, MFA, author of Watching the Windows Sleep, and instructor of Experimental Fiction Writing online.
